Through the Discovery Center SCIP program, Venture students can meet with a counseling intern to discuss personal issues at Venture for free. Permission slips are available at Venture's front desk or from the school counselor.

Young Men's Group (ages 13-18) focuses on teens making healthier decisions in areas like peer pressure, substance use and transitions. See www.integratedteen.com for more information.
The Wellness Community at www.twc-bayarea.org offers cancer support, education and hope for teens and children who have parents with cancer. Classes begin in September. To register call, 925-933-0107.
Grief Support for Children and Teens-HOPE HOSPICE Bereavement Program Children and teens who have experienced the death of a loved one can be overwhelmed with their grief, finding it hard to express what they are feeling. This program offers a safe and nurturing environment to help understand emotions and learn healthy coping skills. There is no fee to attend. Call 925.829.8770 to register. Footsteps is a support and counseling program for grieving children in Pleasant Hill. Programs are six weeks long. For more information call 925 887-5678 x 1036. There are programs starting throughout the year.
